Sometimes the economy was tough, and we had to work extra hard and occasionally, the light at the end of the tunnel was not always there. Okay so, let?s talk about this for second shall we?

I?ve always explained to my team that adversity builds character, and the more you go through in life, the better you get at tackling the problems ahead, and the more fearless you get as you do it. You get to a point where you trust yourself, because you have been through worse, and this is nothing compared to what you?ve already done. It?s hard to explain this to the average person who is looking at a brick wall in front of them, or some calamity that is happened in their lives. Nevertheless, these are the very individuals who need the inspirational input, and they need it now.

Sometimes, it makes sense to slightly exaggerate the hardships you?ve gone through to help inspire those who are going through their own hardships presently. In fact, whatever hardship you explain must actually be more difficult than the one they?re going through. Sometimes people just need a little bit of inspiration to keep going, they just need to go a little farther, and not give up, because they are almost there, even though they can?t see that light at the end of that tunnel presently, you need to show them that light is on and boy is it bright outside. Giuliana Rancic: Breast cancer hasn't changed me, I'm still shallow ...

Giuliana Rancic says her breast cancer battle hasn't changed her and she's still the same "shallow" person she was before.? "My first day back [to work], I walked in and these girls I'd seen everyday -- my assistant, my hair and makeup girls, who I'd have fun with and be crazy with -- all had this sad look in their eyes. It was like, 'Hey, guys, cut the bullsh-t. I'm the exact same person I was before. I'm still shallow, I still love clothes, I still want to talk fashion, I still want to gossip, so lay it on me.,'" the E! News host and Giuliana & Bill star told Glamour magazine in a recent interview with her husband Bill Rancic.

"They were like, 'Thank God.'"

Rancic -- who originally revealed her breast cancer?last fall?-- returned to work in December just two weeks after she underwent a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery?when prior attempts at radiation treatment didn't eradicate her cancerous mass.

Before?driving to work on December 27, Rancic told Glamour she had "emailed the wardrobe girl at E! and asked her, 'Can you find anything that zips up, that's easy to put on?' So I was wearing a surgical bra under these designer clothes. It didn't matter. I was just happy to be in my element, to feel normal again. I'll be totally honest. While I was recovering, I was thinking, 'I'm really going to be asking people what they're wearing?' I didn't know if I could find the joy in it again. But it didn't take long."

During the recovery process at home, Rancic fought to overcome her "shallowness," because she was "terrified" to face her new body, and as a result, avoiding doing so for quite some time.

"At first I didn't want to look in the mirror, because I felt like, 'I'm getting better every day and this is about my health, so I shouldn't get bogged down by what I see in the mirror.' I knew I wasn't going to look like a bikini model, so why look? Why even put the image in my head? Then one night before we went to bed, I was in the bathroom changing, and I decided I wanted to see what I was dealing with, and I wanted to do it alone. So I unzipped and just looked," Rancic explained.

"Then I called Bill into the bathroom because I was torn. There were scars and bruising and part of me felt terrified, but part of me felt like, 'Hey, they actually don't look as bad as I thought.' I didn't know whether to cry or be happy. I think I started going into a little bit of shock."

Rancic told Glamour that she worried her husband would "hate" her new breasts at the time, but Bill Rancic insisted he thought they looked great.

"He said, 'Are you OK?' I was just staring at them, and I said, 'They're not bad, huh?' And he said, 'Honey, they're amazing.' I had thought I was going to be terrified of what I saw; I thought I would look like a monster. So that was good. And every day I turned a corner," Rancic added.

Rancic said she believes that everything happens for a reason, including why she initially got her job at E! News.

"So many have written us or tweeted us, 'Hey, I finally got my wife to go in for her first mammogram,' or 'Got checked out, thank you.' Not one or two but thousands. And it resulted in three girls in their thirties who I know about, friends of friends, finding out they had cancer. We've been given this incredible platform, and we think it was for a reason. I truly believe that," Rancic explained.

"When I got my job at E!, I was the thirty-ninth person who auditioned. I wasn't the prettiest, I wasn't the smartest, I wasn't the most talented. And I always wondered why I got the job. Now I think God knew I wouldn't be a selfish little cow with this platform, and I'd actually try to do something good with it."

Also during their interview with Glamour, Rancic and her husband said they still plan on having children whether it means undergoing more fertility treatments or ultimately adopting. The couple also intends to vacation as much as possible this year and renew their wedding vows this September for their five-year anniversary.?

112 dead, more missing in Bangladesh ferry sinking

DHAKA, Bangladesh (AP) ? Rescue workers found more bodies Wednesday inside the salvaged wreckage of a Bangladesh ferry that capsized with about 200 people on board, bringing the death toll to 112.

The ferry collided with a cargo boat and sank early Tuesday, sending scores of people into the Meghna River, just south of Dhaka. Local police chief Mohammad Shahabuddin Khan said about 35 survivors were plucked from the water, while local media reported that another 40 managed to swim to shore.

Hundreds of anxious people, many of them weeping, gathered near the scene of the accident to look for their loved ones. Some were angry, saying they blamed local authorities for the slow pace of the rescue operation.

Parul, who goes by one name, said she had been waiting at the shore since Tuesday night for news of her newly married brother, who was returning on the ferry with 16 others from his wedding party.

She said only four of the 17 had apparently survived. Two bodies had been recovered, but the bridegroom and others were still missing.

"Bring my brother back, give them all back," Parul wailed as she beat her chest. "I want to see their faces, please take me to them."

Rescue workers and divers called off the search late Wednesday after raising the wreckage, but police planned to stay in the area.

"There are no more bodies inside the ferry but police will remain deployed to check if there are any more bodies around," Khan said.

The death toll climbed to 112 late Wednesday after villagers and rescuers found more bodies inside the ferry and floating in the water, said rescue official Mahfuzul Haque. Divers had recovered 31 bodies Tuesday, and efforts to move the ferry had shaken more loose.

Ferry accidents are common in Bangladesh, a low-lying delta nation crisscrossed by more than 230 rivers. They are often blamed on overcrowding, faulty vessels and lax rules. In 2009, about 150 people died in three ferry accidents.

Khan could not specify how many people were still missing. Many passengers buy their tickets on board, and ferry operators rarely keep accurate passenger lists.

The MV Shariatpur-1 was traveling to Dhaka from Shariatpur district to the southwest. The accident occurred in Munshiganj district, about 20 miles (32 kilometers) south of Dhaka.

A neutron star is the closest thing to a black hole that astronomers can observe directly, crushing half a million times more mass than Earth into a sphere no larger than a city. In October 2010, a neutron star near the center of our galaxy erupted with hundreds of X-ray bursts that were powered by a barrage of thermonuclear explosions on the star's surface. NASA's Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer (RXTE) captured the month-long fusillade in extreme detail. Using this data, an international team of astronomers has been able to bridge a long-standing gap between theory and observation.

"In a single month from this unique system, we have identified behavior not seen in observations of nearly 100 bursting neutron stars during the past 30 years," said Manuel Linares, a postdoctoral researcher at the Kavli Institute for Astrophysics and Space Research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge. The object's powerful magnetic field directs infalling gas onto the star's magnetic poles, producing hot spots that rotate with the neutron star and give rise to X-ray pulses. At NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md., RXTE scientists Tod Strohmayer and Craig Markwardt showed that T5X2 spins at a sedate -- for neutron stars -- rate of 11 times a second. And because the pulsar's orbital motion imparts small but regular changes in the pulse frequency, they showed that the pulsar and its sun-like companion revolve around each other every 21 hours.

That same day, RXTE observed its first burst from the system: an intense spike in X-rays lasting nearly 3 minutes and caused by a thermonuclear explosion on the neutron star's surface. Ultimately, RXTE cataloged some 400 events like this between Oct. 13 and Nov. 19, with additional bursts observed by INTEGRAL and NASA's Swift and Chandra observatories. NASA decommissioned RXTE on Jan. 5, 2012.

When the layer builds to a certain depth, the fuel undergoes a runaway thermonuclear reaction and explodes, creating intense X-ray spikes detected by RXTE and other spacecraft. Models designed to explain these processes made one prediction that had never been confirmed by observation. At the highest rates of accretion, they said, the flow of fuel onto the neutron star can support continuous and stable thermonuclear reactions without building up and triggering episodic explosions.

At low rates of accretion, T5X2 displays the familiar X-ray pattern of fuel build-up and explosion: a strong spike of emission followed by a long lull as the fuel layer reforms. At higher accretion rates, where a greater volume of gas is falling onto the star, the character of the pattern changes: the emission spikes are smaller and occur more often.

But at the highest rates, the strong spikes disappeared and the pattern transformed into gentle waves of emission. Linares and his colleagues interpret this as a sign of marginally stable nuclear fusion, where the reactions take place evenly throughout the fuel layer, just as theory predicted.

"We see T5X2 as a 'model burster,' the one that's doing everything expected of it," said Diego Altamirano, an astrophysicist at the University of Amsterdam in The Netherlands and a co-author on the paper describing the findings.

The question now before the team is why this system is so different from all others studied in previous decades. Linares suspects that T5X2's slow rotation may hold the key. Faster rotation would introduce friction between the neutron star's surface and its fuel layers, and this frictional heat may be sufficient to alter the rate of nuclear burning in all other bursting neutron stars previously studied.
